a refusal to accept second best
At Designworld we have set ourselves demanding standards for quality. Our company objective is to provide creative, original graphic design solutions on time, on budget and to specification, which effectively convey our clients’ messages.
With over 20 years experience within the graphic design industry, we know that existing and potential clients judge a company on the overall quality of the finished product and of the service delivered. Designworld’s reputation depends entirely upon getting it right first time, satisfying all of the client’s requirements and exceeding their expectations.
With our mix of experience, creativity and practical knowledge, each member of our team plays a part in continuing our commitment to excellence. Whether it is in the accuracy of our work, the finish of the delivered product or our professionalism in dealing with our clients, we realise that “quality” is to a great extent an attitude. This is reflected in our refusal to accept second best or say “that will have to do.”

Apart from a while around the late '70s when I thought I'd do the special effects for 'Star Wars' or 'Space 1999' (at that time there were no special effects to speak of on 'Doctor Who') I'd wanted to be a designer before I even knew what one was. So after leaving Brynteg Comp, Bridgend (thanks to Tom Hutchinson - the greatest art teacher) and a Foundation Course at Howard Gardens, Cardiff, I found myself studying graphic design at Clarence Place, Newport. Following three years spent learning how to use metal type and a phototypesetting machine the size of a room, I graduated just as the Apple Mac arrived and the industry went digital. After working for a number of the big Cardiff agencies I moved 'in-house' with Hidden Hearing Ltd and met Lou. We established Designworld together at the turn of the millennium.

I studied information design at Falmouth School of Art and Design graduating in 1991 with an Hons Degree and a great suntan, courtesy of the amazing cornish weather. The suntan didn't last very long but my love of design did - and does, and I consider myself very lucky to still be able to do what I love day in day out. After spending time in a number of design agencies I began working alongside Ceri at the Marketing Department for an international health care company in 1993. Luckily, I found that my new design colleague shared the same dedication and enthusiasm towards the work we created. Looking for a new challenge, we established Designworld in 2000.
We still share that same enthusiasm today and are still as dedicated to giving the best that we can as we were back then.
